The perfect apple

KIKU apple fritters with beer batter

KIKU apple fritters with beer batter

Serves 4

  • For the batter:
  • ¼ l of lager beer
  • 180 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • a pinch of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of sugar
  • 4 Kiku apples
  • frying oil, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder,
  • icing sugar


Preparation:
Make a thick batter using the beer, flour, eggs and a pinch of salt.
Peel and clean the apples.
Cut the apples into discs about ½ cm. thick, batter them and cook in the oil at a temperature of at least 170° C.
Remove them from the oil and lay them on absorbent paper.
Separately mix 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder.
Dip the fritters in this mixture, put them on a plate, sprinkle with icing sugar and serve.
Ideal with blueberry jam.
